KODAK VERITÉ CRAFT 6 Anna Griffin Edition

This is the first KODAK printer designed specifically for printing on a variety of craft materials. It’s an all-in-one wireless inkjet printer that has a special materials handling tray for printing on craft materials. This makes it possible to print on materials such as leather, canvas, magnets, card stock, cork and even some types of veneer wood. It is a wireless craft printer, copier and scanner that prints documents and photos too.

GETTING STARTED

There are three ways to connect your printer.  We recommend that you refer to the available Quick Start Guide for the different ways you can connect your printer. The video to the right shows you how to connect to your wifi network through the control panel on the printer. To connect via a PC or Laptop:

  1. Follow carefully the Quick Start Guide included with the printer.
  2. Unpack and plug in the printer.
  3. Download PC Drivers / Software by going to www.kodakverite.com/support.
  4. Select the KODAK VERITÉ Craft 6 printer from the menu of printers under the “Downloads” tab.
  5. Then go to the Apple App store or Google Play store to download the KODAK VERITÉ Craft App to your iPad or Android tablet.
  6. Open the installed app and follow the set-up instructions or start designing and printing.

Loading materials

 

To print on craft materials follow these easy steps for loading materials into the rear tray.

  1. Select the appropriate material on the printer control panel by pressing the material selection button and use the up / down arrow keys to scroll to the appropriate material. You can also do this from theKODAK VERITÉ Craft 6 app (shown in video).
  2. When ready select the Print button in the app to start printing. At this point the printer is waiting for the user to load the material and press OK on the control panel of the printer. The printer will not start printing before material is loaded and the OK button is pressed.
  3. Loading the material should be done with one or two hands by laying the material flat on the rear tray and then with sufficient pressure guide the material into the printer.
  4. When loading properly the printer will grab the material and draw it in a few mm. (see attached video which shows this)
  5. Then press OK on the control panel of the printer and the printer will draw in the material as it starts printing. You should not touch the material once it has been grabbed by the printer.

Helpful Hints

The material feed guide at the back of the printer should be moved so it is adjacent and snug with the materials you will feed into the printer.  This will help with keeping the material aligned to the print heads.

Creating your own design

You can use the KODAK VERITÉ Craft 6 app for iPad or for Android tablets to create your own unique designs, insert personal photos, or create personal messages to be printed on an assortment of craft materials.  This video shows how easy it is to start creating a design and printing it on card stock.  Just imagine the possibilities.

Printing on a variety of craft materials

This represents just a sampling of the materials that you could potentially print on.  We’ve found that some materials take the ink better than others but even on something like leather it is possible to print and then seal the ink with a silicon spray sealant.  The maximum thickness of any material must be less than 1.2mm.  The rear feeder allows you to put more rigid material like balsa wood or thin veneers through the printer. It may take longer for the ink to dry when printing on some materials.  We suggest you also consider spraying a silicon sealant after printing to prevent the ink from rubbing off or becoming wet.

Printing addresses to an envelope

Printing an address from your contacts in your smartphone or tablet to an envelope has never been easier.  With the KODAK VERITÉ Craft App or the KODAK VERITÉ Print and Scan App (for smartphones) you can easily select an address, add your return address, and print wirelessly directly to a variety of different size mailing envelopes.  Simple!
